Our client is searching for a highly motivated Director of Sales to join their team. They are an injection molding company that thrives in key markets including automotive, manufacturing, and OEMs.They are seeking a well-rounded, hands-on business development and account management and sales professional to lead sales for the custom injection molding company. Candidates will be working in the metro Chicagoland market and would be best residing within 35 miles of Elgin, Ill. The Director of Sales will generate new Injection Molding business by prospecting and developing new potential customers and segments by successfully attracting customers to promote Injection Molding technology and products, resulting in strategic alignment, profitability, and growth.

Our client is a Chicagoland stable company with over 50 years of success with over 100 employees.  The company has earned many quality awards from its customers as a "Best in Class" and preferred partner for many of its trusted customers. This position has become open after a successful tenured Director will be retiring.

 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
• New Business Development by determining opportunities at companies using injection molded parts and /or complex assemblies.
• Translate corporate strategy and sales goals into an executable sales and account strategy for target customers and regions.
• Align all Business Development activities with the regional sales teams.
• Generate new clients and new sales opportunities.
• Monitor and analyze market conditions, trends, and potential threats or opportunities.
• Act as a key interface for our customers and all relevant internal resources to ensure smooth project execution and success.
• Sales presentations with potential customers and industry leaders
• Contact potential customers and identify needs.
• Manage new requests for quotation



Required Skills

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or Engineering.
• 5-6 years in the manufacturing, automotive, and/or OEM or Tier 1 automotive sales 

Qualifications/Skills:
• Extensive knowledge and experience in business administration with experience in OEM, Tier1 automotive sales preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in sales position a plus.
• Knowledge of injection moldings a plus.
• Excellent technical understanding of injection molding and its market requirements.
• Comfortable with business strategies, prioritization, go-to-market, pricing, and the tracking of KPIs together with financial metrics.
• Enable talented individuals, foster and learn culture and organization.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills on all organizational levels and diverse groups.
• Open and mindful of new tasks and challenges in the industry, client base, and prospect targets
