This highly visible and well-respected sales and business development position is focused on contributing to the company’s growth in the US market share.  To exercise a functioning knowledge of market analysis, customer-driven product development, product valuation, and promotional programs toward supporting medium to long-range growth plans.  Your experience and knowledge in the surface excavation industrial sector will help a global, stable, whose Zero Harm philosophy has been partnered with a diverse multicultural workforce. Responsibilities

Key Performance Objectives
Create new leads in the company's ideal customer vertical; (surface mining excavation)
Create project pipeline and track progress and access probability and desirability for the projects
Get on industry RFP and Bidders List
Understand pricing in the surface mining and excavation industry
Achieve $40M in sales (Range of equipment sale price is $2M to $80M)

Other Job Responsibilities
In this high-profile and challenging role, you will be directly accountable for sales applications within the US region. 
Included with the following:
Develops and implements strategic plans to meet sales targets and objectives.
Develops strategies for establishing partnerships and business relationships to market products or services. Collaborates with internal departments, such as marketing, sales, and engineering, and external partners and allies in the development, implementation, and marketing of strategies, plans, and business models
Responsible for marketing and sales reporting to US and international headquarters.
Leads the sales department in deal negotiations, proposal development, contract development, due diligence, and other business development or alliance development projects.
Provides input and expertise to the management team on new product or service features to be developed to meet current and future customer needs.
Researches and learns all new emerging technologies and trends.
Manages CRK (Risk Committee) process on applicable projects.
Responsible for maintaining the company's CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software.
Oversees and organizes tradeshow participation set-up
Oversees planning of marketing and promotions, including advertising and marketing strategies.
Markets new and existing customers through the creation, development, and implementation of various business solutions.
Estimates demand for proposed projects based on market research and consumer trends.

Required Skills

Qualifications: 

  • 5 – 8 years of sales experience in the mining surface excavation with 
  • 1 year or more of managing staff in the bulk material handling/mining and minerals industry, proposal development experience
  • Experience in dealing with high-level executive officials with demonstrated ability for independent judgment.
