Our client seeks an enthusiastic, results-driven, team-oriented National Account Executive to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business, growing ongoing sales with existing clients, and building long-term relationships within the industrial packaging (baling) industry. Responsibilities
KEY PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES (What Does Success In The Position Look Like):
Maintain existing client base of revenue
Increase revenue by 30% from $6M to $9M
Expand revenue in the existing client base and add new clients
Create and develop the sales team
Call on title path of Procurement Services, Procurement Management, Store Planning, Purchasing Management/Distribution, Replenishment Planning, Sustainability, Recycling Programs
Other Relevant Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Conduct regular business reviews and maintain consistent communication with senior decision-makers.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, operations) to ensure seamless customer experience and deliver on contract agreements.
- Identify new business opportunities and generate leads within existing accounts to drive growth.
- Provide market insights and competitor analysis to refine sales strategies.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure long-term agreements.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of sales activities, forecasts, and market trends.
- Participate in industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote the company's services and maintain industry relationships.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or account management in the industrial or manufacturing sectors
- Selling baling products to retailers, grocers, recycling companies, entities that using baling wire and baling equipment (Goodwill, Salvation Army, Box converters)
- Sales activities are 70% new business and 30% maintain existing customer base
- Proven track record of managing large, complex accounts and achieving sales targets.
- Strong understanding of industrial and manufacturing markets, products, and services.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills.
- Very strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to keep management updated on sales activities and sales funnel
- Able to develop reports in a CRM that you will be setting up and developing (aka salesforce)
- Self-Starter, able to work without day-to-day direction. persistent, understands they will be a lot of "no's"
- A willingness to travel nationally is required.
